For over 30 years, AL Systems has been helping companies optimize their distribution operations by providing solutions that maximize productivity, throughput, and order accuracy in the distribution center. AL Systems’ market leading Warehouse Control System (WCS) software, along with modules for Pick to Light, Pack to Light, Voice Picking, Sortation Control, Print and Apply, and Shipping and Manifesting, requires only a single interface to Warehouse Management and/or corporate ERP systems, and offers Real-time Reporting, Load Balancing, and Productivity Management.
AL Systems made our job a little easier by clearly defining their objective for the new website design. First and foremost, a more professional, modern-looking website that engaged their target audience was in order. Another key goal was to create a more “easy-to-use” website for their viewers.
In addition to the cosmetic requirements, key objectives were also outlined for the backend and functionality of the site. The new site would have to index well in popular search engines such as Google and Yahoo, while remaining functional and conveying concise and sensible content on the front end.
In addition to a the browser-based web requirements, AL Systems decided to add a mobile component to the mix. Once we had the new site design ready to go we set our sites on the mobile experience and developed both versions concurrently to ensure that each site was managed by a single content management system.
To top it all off, AL Systems required a content management system to control, edit and manage their new website.
Once the design was under way it was decided to put a hold on the creative and reassess the existing logo and branding. As an established company with many years of professional experience, it was necessary not to stray too far from the existing logo. We were able to create a slightly enhanced version of the brand that successfully maintained the integrity of the existing material, while embracing the modern look and feel of the new website.
