From BlackBerry to iPhone 3G-S

iPhone

After a couple years with a BlackBerry (at the time I purchased, I had no Mac-friendly choice), I’ve finally made the switch to an iPhone. Lucky for me the iPhone 3G-S had just launched in Canada, sold out across the country, but I stumbled upon a small Roger’s store tucked away beyond the heavy sidewalk traffic you typically see in Toronto.

After only 24 hours with the phone, I’m amazed at how seamless this device is with my Mac. After struggling with BlackBerry and the make-shift software PocketMac to syn my iCal, email, contacts, etc., this seems like a dream. It also frees up some pocket space now that I don’t need to carry an iPod and and phone when I’m out and about. I still have my trusty 80GB iPod, but that will now live in the car plugged into the stereo.

I should clarify that I’m not bashing BlackBerry, nor do I think their product any less great. The trouble is, it seems as though it’s made for a solely PC-based world.

Great things are happening!
