Very Cool Direct Mail Advertisement for CTV’s PanAm
Yesterday I picked up my mail while waiting for my morning coffee to brew, as is my usual morning routine. Amongst all the garbage that usually floods my mailbox (I’m speaking of a literal mailbox here, not email) this direct mail piece slid out of the pile when I put them down on the kitchen counter. What really captured my attention is that the direct mail piece looks like a postcard and it immediately separated itself from the rest of my junk mail.
For anyone unfamiliar with the show, (in short) it focusses on flight attendants in the 1940s or 1950s I believe and the hijinks that ensue as they travel the world country to country. This piece isn’t anything revolutionary by any means, but this simple creative touch was enough to get this piece noticed amidst all the junk mail in the pile that my brain automatically ignores (or so I would hope to believe).
This is a great example how a little extra effort, or creative thought can go miles for you or your client in conveying your message to your audience. Worth the extra time and effort, no?
