We're a creative graphic design studio that brings cool ideas to life.
In 2009, Jay Eckert founded Parachute Design in Toronto, Canada, with a vision to create and develop websites, print materials and branding strategies that feature excellent design, and also focus on industry standards, usability and accessibility. But it didn't happen overnight.
"We really love what we do, and our creativity, passion and enthusiasm shows in everything that we produce."
These early experiences provided Jay the opportunity to build a network that has grown to include a combination of expert programmers, designers and copywriters, located throughout Canada, and working in their own creative environments. Through this innovative work model, the company enjoys a low overhead, which allows Parachute to position itself ahead of its competitors, offer lower rates, and keep its clients' needs first.
Parachute Design is a virtual company in every sense of the word.
Our core belief is that our dedication to the environment should be prevalent in everything we do, from the paper that we recommend for our clients' print campaigns to online strategies that eliminate paper waste. For us, environmental responsibility isn't just talk, it’s an opportunity to act.
Is your business environmentally conscious? If so, you may qualify for our Environmental Consciousness Discount.
More About Jay
Jay graduated from the Seneca College graphic design program in 2003 and received his Registered Graphic Designer (R.G.D.) designation in 2007. (For more information on R.G.D. criteria and standards, visit www.rgdontario.com).
Jay is also a recognized photographer and maintains a daily photo blog (www.onethousandwords.ca), which is ranked among the top photo blogs in Canada. Jay has also received several commendations that recognize his photographic talent.
Jay has spent the last 7 years honing his skills in the creative industry, and when not working on new and exciting projects for Parachute, he enjoys challenging himself creatively with personal projects including painting, guitar, and his newly discovered addiction to silk screening his own shirts.
Meet Charlie Brown
Charlie Brown plays an important role at Parachute as Recreational Coordinator. In the fast-paced creative world where deadlines can easily raise one’s blood pressure, a good recreational coordinator is crucial. Each and every morning Charles makes sure that we force ourselves to take a breather and hike through the Humber River Valley to clear our heads, which is often followed by some ultimate frisbee in the afternoon.

Yes! The rumours are true... We are working on a new site design. Stay tuned for launch day later this month.
